The ShoeString ( Nomad Travel ) North tour explores the area around Cappadocia and gives you a taste of the wide variety of things to do and see. The tour starts with a one way morning trek along the Meskendir, Rose and Red Valleys or a visit to Göreme Open Air Museum where the best preserved and documented ancient churches are waiting for you.

Then visit Çavuşin Village.

After lunch go wine tasting in Ürgüp. On the way see the famous ‘Family’ Fairy Chimneys the symbols of Cappadocia. Wander through the Devrent Valley and let your imagination run wild.Then into Avanos the town on the Kızılırmak river where pottery making as a local craft dates back perhaps 5000 years. You can even have a go on the potter’s wheel– see if it would be a good career move for you. Finally to Paşabağ where the fairy chimneys are unique and some have more than one head.
