THE BEST AND MOST NATURAL
WAY TO SEE CAPPADOCIA.
The very best way to see the valleys of Cappadocia is to ride through them on horseback. Horses don’t tear up the tracks, scare away the wildlife or leave nasty fumes behind – at least not to the extent that some forms of transport do!
It is said that the name ‘Cappadocia’ is derived from the Persian ‘Katpatuka – the land of the beautiful horses’ and that the locals paid their taxes to the Persians in horses.
Through Nomad Travel Agency we can arrange horseback riding trips with a local horse centre where the staff know about both horses and the terrain.
Rides can last from one hour to all day.
A one hour ride will take you to Sword Valley, Rose Valley and the Girls’ Monastery.
A whole day tour will include seven different valleys (Love, Pigeon, White, Honey, Red, Rose, and Sword) and visit the Green Church, Uçhisar Panorama, Cavusin Village, Goreme Village and the Sunset Point.
The price per person for 1 hour is 25 Euros; 2 hours, 45 Euros; 3 hours, 55 Euros; 4 hours, 70 Euros; Whole day tour : 90 Euros per person (minimum 2 people ).
The price includes transport to and from ShoeString.
